Scholarships and Financial Aid

Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet is committed to making classical ballet accessible to young people and families in our community through scholarship support.

Need-based scholarships are available to assist SMB Company dancers with costume fees and summer workshop tuition.  Click here for more information.  The need-based online application is due no later than Monday, April 11, 2016.

SMB also offers the merit-based Beverly Williams Memorial Scholarship, established through the generosity of long-time SMB volunteer Beverly Williams’ family and friends.  This award provides a full-tuition scholarship to the Shreveport Dance Academy Summer Intensive workshop for dancers showing outstanding talent for and dedication to the art of classical ballet.  Click here for more information.  Applications are due no later than Monday, April 11, 2016.
