How do you tutu? Stop by and show your support for Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet during our Give for Good event May 3rd from 10-5pm outside The Moppet Shoppe. Walk our red carpet, snap a selfie, and show everyone how you tutu to support SMB by posting your picture on social media with the hashtag #HowDoYouTutu. We’ll have fun photo props sure to get your selfie lots of online love and a donation station to make it easy to support SMB on Give for Good day!
Give for Good is a 24-hour online giving challenge led by The Community Foundation of North Louisiana to raise unrestricted dollars for non-profit organizations in our community. Every gift is amplified thanks to The Community Foundation’s Lagniappe Fund! On May 3rd, 2016 visit the Give for Good site to make your donation to support Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet.

There will be a PARENT INFORMATION MEETING scheduled for Monday, March 21 at 6:00 pm at Shreveport Dance Academy.
Junior Company (ages 10-13) will be 4:00-5:30.
Senior Company (ages 12 and up) will be 6:00-8:00.
Those who qualify will be invited to audition for soloist/principal on Monday, April 25th.
Due to inclement weather the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet performance of Peter and the Wolf originally scheduled for Friday, March 11 has been rescheduled.

Tickets for SMB’S Peter & the Wolf and Aladdin are now on sale!
Peter & the Wolf is Friday, March 11th at 6:30 pm at Riverview Theater. This performance features SMB’s Senior Apprentice Company and our “Chance to Dance” participants. “Chance to Dance” is a collaboration with Volunteers of America Lighthouse and provides classical ballet instruction and the opportunity to perform onstage in a professional quality production to children who might not otherwise have this opportunity. The year we have forty-two “Chance to Dance” participants from J.S. Clark Elementary and Forest Hill Elementary. Reserved seating for Peter & the Wolf is available for $12.00 for adults and $2.00 for children 12 and under. General admission is available at the door. Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet’s Aladdin is Sunday, April 10th at 3:00 pm at the Riverview Theater. Aladdin features an original score by Kermit Poling performed under his direction by the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra.
Make a day of the ballet by purchasing tickets for our Aladdin Princess Tea! The Tea begins at 1:00 pm prior to the matinee performance of Aladdin and offers patrons a chance to meet costumed members of the Aladdin cast along with light refreshments before the show. Tickets for the Aladdin Princess Tea are available for $15.00 per person. A table for 8 can be reserved for $100.00

Minor cast auditions for Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet’s upcoming performance of Aladdin will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Shreveport Dance Academy.

Don’t miss the must-see performance of the holiday season as Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet and the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra bring The Nutcracker to life at Shreveport’s Riverview Theater, Saturday, December 12th at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 13th at 3:00pm.
Special Nutcracker events for the 2015 production include the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea presented by Strawn’s Eat Shop, Sunday, December 13th at 1:30 pm. Tickets for the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea include a character meet and greet from 1:00 to 1:30pm and a complimentary photograph with a “Nutcracker” character. Make a day of the ballet by purchasing tickets for the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea and the Sunday matinee performance of The Nutcracker.
Performance tickets range from $15 through $40. Tickets for the tea are $15 or $100 for a reserved table for 8.
Tickets can also be purchased at the box office at Riverview Theater on Thursday, Dec. 9th and Friday Dec. 10th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, and one hour prior to the performances.
